NLG Hotel Group National “Safe Venue Project”
NLG Hotel Group commenced their National Safe Venue Project at Hotel Cremorne on Thursday 19th November. NLG Hotel Group are the industry leaders in providing clean, safe, comfortable and overall enjoyable venues for their patrons to enjoy and are continually working to towards improving these standards and raising the benchmark within the Industry.
The Safe Venue Project aims to provide a safer and more relaxed atmosphere for patrons and staff, equally to enjoy. Through the implementation of ID scanners, Head Cams, rostered bathroom checks, and an increased focus placed on creating a female friendly environment, Hotel Cremorne has been able to bring a new level of professionalism to their daily operations. Working closely with local Council and the RTA, the ‘Safe Venue Project’ will incorporate North Sydney’s Council’s Paranoia campaign, targeting drink driving in the northern Sydney region, by offering complimentary soft drink to drivers throughout their late night trading hours.
NLG Hotel Group Area Manager, Benjamin Carroll said; “the safety and wellsbeing of our patrons is our number one priority. Implementing strategies such as the Safe Venue Project, allows our management team to create the optimal environment for patrons to enjoy the vast array of entertainment elements available across our venues in a calm, relaxed and hassle free way”
Trial report statistics from the Safe Venue Project have shown an overall increase in Hotel patronage, including a significant increase in female patronage as a result of the calm and inviting atmosphere created within the venue.
The “Say Cheese for Cheers” campaign will see patrons to Hotel Cremorne have their ID scanned and photo taken on arrival, for the purpose of identifying and deterring known or potential trouble makers to the Hotel. Patrons will also be given the opportunity to have their photo taken throughout the night, showing off their ‘best cheese’ which will be added to the “Say Cheese for Cheers’ website, with the winner of the ‘best cheese award’ at the end of the month winning a Sony Handycam Camcorder valued at $1000!
“Hotel Cremorne’s low incident occurrences since the Hotel was taken over by NLG Hotel Group in 2005 speaks volumes for the management teams focus on providing a safe and enjoyable venue. We are all excited about the inclusion of the ‘Safe Venue Project’ to Hotel Cremorne, which we believe, will complete the safe, enjoyable and fun entertainment filled environment we strive to deliver to our patrons week in and week out”, said Benjamin Carroll.
